St. Vincent and the Grenadines lie between the tropic of Cancer and the Equator, approximately 1.600 miles southeast of Miami. St. Vincent is the largest of the more than 30 islands that comprise the nation, covering roughly 150 square miles. Canouan is reached by air from North America and Europe through six major gateways with connection to Canouan's modern Airport, offering night landing facilities.
Average daytime temperatures range from 24 C/75 F to 30 C/87 F. Driest season is December to May. The coolest month occur between November and February.
Canouan uses the local Eastern Caribbean Dollars (EC$). A bank on the island provide exchange services for all major foreign currencies, cash or traveler's cheques.
Travel with a valid passport. Return tickets are required. No Visa is required for EC citizens and North & South American citizens. No vaccinations are required. US citizen must have a valid passport to fly to the Grenadines.
There is no taxi service on the island. Transfer from and to the airport are free using the resort shuttle service. Cars can be rented at the resort. A local driving license must be obtained on presentation of your driving license together with a fee of 50 EC$.
